Rethinking a cultural icon
We worked closely with Phion Orkest to redesign and rebuild their website with a clear focus on usability, flexibility, and conversion. As a cultural organisation with a broad and diverse audience, Phion needed a digital platform that could clearly communicate their programme while actively supporting ticket sales. The project started with collaborative UX workshops that allowed us to fully understand Phion’s brand, organisational goals, and audience needs. Based on these insights, we established a new set of features and components designed to give the team full control over their website. Design and development were brought together into a single, powerful system that supports both editorial freedom and commercial performance.
We supported Phion Orkest throughout the entire process, from early research and strategic alignment to design and technical implementation. By working closely with internal stakeholders, we translated complex organisational requirements into a clear digital structure that balances artistic storytelling with practical functionality.
Catering to the mobile audience
With mobile traffic now commanding over 50% of digital engagement, optimising for smaller screens has evolved from best practice to fundamental necessity. Your digital presence must deliver a meticulously crafted user experience that acknowledges the distinct behaviours of mobile audiences and elegantly navigates the constraints of their devices.
We employed sophisticated development methodologies to ensure content, imagery and video dynamically adapt with precision across mobile phones and tablets, while conversion-driven User Experience design guaranteed that interactions felt instinctive and content navigation remained effortless. This was reinforced through comprehensive analytics infrastructure, enabling us to continuously scrutinise user behaviour patterns and implement iterative refinements that systematically elevated conversion performance.
How We Helped
We supported Phion Orkest throughout the entire process, from early research and strategic alignment to design and technical implementation. By working closely with internal stakeholders, we translated complex organisational requirements into a clear digital structure that balances artistic storytelling with practical functionality.
One of the key goals for Phion Orkest was to create a website that makes it easy for visitors to discover concerts and move seamlessly toward purchasing tickets. The existing digital experience did not sufficiently guide users through the programme or support clear conversion paths.
From a UX perspective, the objective was to understand different audience segments — from loyal concertgoers to first-time visitors — and design journeys that feel intuitive and engaging. From a technical standpoint, Phion needed a flexible system that would allow the team to manage performances, content, and campaigns independently, without ongoing reliance on developers.
Approach & Key Activities
UX Workshops & Research
We began the project with a series of collaborative UX workshops involving key stakeholders from Phion Orkest. These sessions helped us explore brand values, audience expectations, and business objectives, while also identifying friction points in the existing website.
This shared discovery phase created alignment across teams and ensured that all design and development decisions were rooted in real organisational needs and user behaviour.
Information Architecture & UX Design
Insights from the workshops were translated into a clear information architecture that prioritises discoverability and flow. We restructured navigation and page layouts to help users quickly explore the programme, understand concert details, and move confidently toward ticket purchase.
UX design focused on clarity, hierarchy, and accessibility, ensuring that the experience works seamlessly across devices and supports both browsing and decision-making.
Design System & Components
To support flexibility and consistency, we designed a modular system of reusable components. These components allow Phion’s team to build rich programme pages, editorial content, and promotional layouts while maintaining a coherent visual language.
By defining clear rules and patterns, the system ensures that content remains visually consistent and conversion-focused, even as new pages and campaigns are created.
Web Development
We developed the website as a component-based platform focused on performance, accessibility, and scalability. Special attention was given to the integration of programme information and ticketing flows, ensuring that conversion paths are clear and friction is reduced.
The result is a system that is easy to manage internally while remaining robust enough to support future growth and changing requirements.
Results & Impact
The new website provides clearer user journeys and improved programme discoverability, making it easier for visitors to find concerts and purchase tickets. Internally, Phion Orkest benefits from a streamlined content management experience that allows the team to publish and update content quickly and independently.
The component-based approach also provides a strong foundation for future campaigns, seasonal programmes, and digital improvements.
By combining collaborative UX research, thoughtful design, and a strong technical foundation, we delivered a digital platform that supports Phion Orkest’s artistic ambitions while actively contributing to ticket sales. The result is a clear, flexible, and future-proof website that strengthens the connection between the orchestra and its audience.
